If you are planning to live in Spain on a temporary basis then you should consider a long term rental as opposed to a holiday rental.

Alternatively, if you are relocating to Spain but are not sure of your preferred location, we would recommend that you think about a long term rental. This will then allow you to explore the area without any pressure. As a resident, your requirements and expectations are completely different to those of a tourist.

We have all had this romantic vision of living in Spain, maybe a little ‘cortijo’ in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean sitting on the terrace sipping sangria at sunset! These dreams may have gotten you this far but we cannot live on dreams alone!

Don’t rush into buying. Take your time and get a feel for the area before you finally commit to purchasing a property. You may not even wish to buy one! A long term rental contract is normally between 6 and 11 months and the landlord may offer you a new contract when the existing one expires.

Virtually all rental properties are furnished, so before you pack up everything and ship it over at great expense, think long and hard... Trust us, once you are living here, you will soon wonder why  you brought all of this ‘stuff’ with you!!

So, if you are looking for a ‘long term rental’ tell us what’s on your wish list and we’ll see if we can find it for you! For more information, click on the link below.
